S is for Summer

Seasons are an amazing thing, its what makes our world turn from a bright, sizzling, summers day, to a cool colourful afternoon in Autumn. This Is my second entry in the Seasons series now hear is a little taste of summer.
S is for Summer
I walk outside barefoot into the scorching summers day, the shimmering golden sun is up and the turquoise blue sky is dazzling, without a cloud in sight. The dazzling Caribbean is amazing! Thin beads of sweat form on my upper lip, from the heat. It is a gorgeous day, the trees are a dazzling green, while the well kept grass is a shady jade green. Small rainbow colored butterflies, fly by. I pad over to my pool and lie down on my lawn chair. A few minutes later I am hot enough to catch fire! I go over to my aquamarine blue pool and hop into the freezing waters. A huge wave of water flys up around me as I sink deeper and deeper into my pool, every cell in my body is cool and refreshed. I stay under for a couple more seconds until I feel my lungs are about to burst. I trend to the surface and pop my head inhaling a hug breath. Ah, this feels great. I hop out and lie down on my plush 100 thread count towel. I look up and my fuchsia pink strawberry daiquiri is on the glass table next to me. A take a long refreshing sip, the thick and sweet liquid runs down my throat, this feels like heaven, I think as I fall asleep in the humid air.
The Next Day
My Family and I are taking a glass bottom boat ride around the luxurious, electric blue, Caribbean waters. We are about to go scuba diving and explore the amazing and beautiful aquatic life. We are zooming across the waters now at top speed some salty ocean waters spray my face and I relax. The boat halts to a stop, I strap on the heavy oxygen tank and plunge into the unknown waters. The second I can focus on my surroundings, my midnight blue eyes widen in amazement. I am looking at an under sea world, the indigo, electric pink, and deep purple coral are breathtaking, I am surrounded by fish in all shapes, sizes, and colors. I have never seen anything like it before. The luke warm water feel good against my skin as I explore the rest of the magical undersea word. I see millions of schools of fish, from an amazing plum purple, to a transparent white, every single fish is unique and different in its own way.
Check SpellingAdd ImageI look over to my left and can't believe my eyes! I am staring strait at a hammerhead shark. I start to hyperventilate, my breath is caught in my throat, I am dead still. Terrified to move a muscle, the shark looks at me, his big black eyes piercing through my skull. Suddenly it swims away, I exhale a deep breath, and swim as fast as I can to the glass bottom boat. Once I am aboard the boat I wrap my plush towel around me, than I tell the tour guide and my family of my horror story with the shark. Once I am done my tour guide informs me that hammerhead sharks are very unlikely to hurt a human, but their size seems very intimidating to any one who encounters them. I feel humiliated but glad that the shark was never going to hurt me.

My summer days in the Caribbean were hot and magical. Summer time is one of the most amazing seasons, it is hot and sunny. I like to spend my summer days poolside sipping a cool, tropical, and fruity drink, playing a game of tennis, or submerging myself in the deep under water depths. Summer is my favorite season, for now! Keep your eyes open in the seasons series for S is for spring!

Life Lesson: Have fun in the sun!

S is for Seasons

Seasons is everywhere, its what makes the world turn into a perfect white blanket, to a beautiful flower meadow. Without the seasons the world would just be a boring sphere that never changes. The four seasons, winter, spring, summer, and autumn, are all different in every way.

Winter
I rush outside into the perfect white world, my precious skates in my hand. The frigid cold air surrounds my body as I pull my coat tighter around myself. I fall back into the snow and a mountain of snowflakes fly up around me. I sigh as I take in the engaging seen around me, the usually jade green Pine trees are now covered in a frosty white blanket, the snowflakes that are falling are beautiful, so delicate and perfect, each one different, a masterpiece! A golden beam of sun hits the snow around me and makes it glitter like a thousand diamonds. Wow I really do live in a Winter Wonderland! I slip on the supple leather of my skates, soon enough I am gliding along a smooth perfect pond. I feel like I am flying with the wind in my hair, not afraid to fall. I pick up speed and jump into my perfect triple lutz. When I land something happens, my ankle gives way and a scorching pain fills my throbbing ankle. I scream in pain and land with a SMACK! on the freezing, and hard ice. It feels like someone set fire to my ankle from the unbelievable pain coursing through it. My vision blurs from my tears turning everything around me into a gigantic blob. That is when I black out........
I fall in and out of consiencness as I try to make sense of my surroundings. Finally I see a bright orange flame in my fireplace, I look around and that I am wrapped in a soft blanket, my leg is extremely bandaged. My mom comes in and explains to me about what happened on our pond, that I sprained my ankle, and that I can't skate for three weeks. Then she hands me a cup of her Belgium hot chocolate. I take a recharging sip and feel the rich, creamy, and warm chocolate run down my throat.
A couple weeks later.
I am at the top of a huge ski hill, the chilly wind whispering through my ears. My ski's are on as I take a look down at the horrifyingly high ski hill. I can feel myself hyperventilating, The snow seems to be extremely slippery at the moment and my ski boots little too tight, suddenly my body is freezing. I can't go back now, I take one last look down the terrifying hill take one last deep breath, my lungs fill with freezing air. And I push off with my ski poles, Wow I feel alive! I am going so fast and turning so gently on the soft snow. I suddenly feel rejuvenated as I pick up more speed. Suddenly my amazing journey ends just as quickly as it had begun. I am at the bottom of the ski hill now and I take off for the chairlift so I can do that refreshing run again. I wonder what I was so scared of!

Winter is always cold but their is so much to do! I love winter for many reasons that I just stated, stay informed for my next blog Spring in the Seasons Series!

LIFE LESSON: Winter is amazing, cold, pearl white and perfect!

D is for Dreams

I slowly walk into my bedroom and shuffle across the supple hard wood floor. I climb onto my luxurious feather filled mattress, and pull the soft silk sheets over my freezing body. My eyes are closing faster and faster soon I fall asleep and surrender completely into the dark unknowingness of my dreams.... I am sailing through a vast aquamarine blue sea in a completely white sailboat. The bright golden sun beats down on me and warms my back, I feel at peace, a mist of salty water flys up around me and I close my eyes. Suddenly the sun disappears and frigid cold air surrounds my body instead of moist and humid. The boat is going a little to fast, the once aquamarine waters are now a dark, ugly blackish-green, and the waves are tossing my graceful sailboat around it. The sky is filled with grey clouds and a big fat rain drop lands on my head just as the loud thunder booms through my head and vibrates my eardrums. I see the first flash of electric yellow lightning and I scream as my delicate sailboat splinters in half. I fall into the water just as the lightning strikes once more my head is spinning, I can't think, I scream once more and with a start my eyes snap open. I sit up and realize I am once again in my comfy bed, than I look outside my window and see a thunder storm passing through. It was just a dream, I think but how? I felt the sun warm my back and I was soaked with water.

Dreams are curious things that happen to everyone, every night. It can be about anything, usually it's about something that has happened to you, for example one night I was running through a horrifying house and someone was chasing me I fell down and I got stabbed in the stomach. I woke up instantaneously and had an enormous pain in my stomach. Usually dreams can be extremely vivid and in technicolor and you feel that it is actually happening. A perfect Analogy of what dreams are about is Hannah Kochuk's poem called "A Night Spent in Technicolor"
A Night Spent in Technicolor
I sleep with pencil crayons under my pillows,
So I'll dream in purple pinks and yellows,
Dreams aren't much more than lifeless moments,
left in flight of black and white,
Unremembered a fools delight.
In my slumber I dream in raw umber
Of brilliant butterflies,
across orange sunset skies
When my dreams become to much to bare,
When I'm falling in A pit of despair
I pull out my crayons, a color of tan,
Choose one more teal
Then drift along and forget whats real,
take this dream a chance to feel
Because I dream in technicolor

I like this poem for many reasons. For one thing it completely explains the allusions that dreams can make in your head, where it says "drift along forget whats real". Also where it says "Dreams aren't much more than lifeless moments" and "Unremembered a fools delight", it shows that you can't always live in your dreams, but you can always make your dreams come true.

LIFE LESSON: If you don't have a dream, how are you going to make your dreams come true?
Oscar Hammerstein

Special Thanks to Hannah Kochuk who let me borrow her poem to use it in my blog post.

V is for Veggies :)

They are a medley of tastes, colors, shapes, and sizes. Your mother forces you to eat them on a daily basis, but usually you pretend to. Of course I am talking about Veggies! Some are delish like carrots, peppers, and tomatoes. But some disgusting, and repulsive, that make me want to dry heave, like celery, asparagus, and brussel sprouts, ew hurl! The sickening snot color of celery, the awful acidy after taste, the disgusting taste of asparagus (no words to explain how sickening it is) brussel sprouts is just so stomach churning, disgusting, and nauseating, it just makes me want to scream and run away in terror when I see it's pea green and leafy complexion. But isn't it ironic how most of the disgusting and vile vegetables are green? No offence to lettuce but green is obviously a cursed vegetable color.
Even though some vegetables are extremely foul other vegetables can be delicious and refreshing, like tomatoes, the delicate crimson red skin being broken and sending a variety of sweat and sour, juicy tastes into your mouth. What I really like to do with my veggies is make a scrumptious, and refreshing salad. The lime green lettuce cold, crunchy, and fresh, mixed with an energizing vinagrette , and various nuts and sometimes fruits like juicy oranges and succulent pears. Nothing better or healthier than a nice cool salad to restore your brain power!

Even though I have accused some vegetables to be utterly vomitous, and gross, some people might think celery and asparagus are delicious or that tomatoes are disgusting. Because we are all different, I can't even think of a world where people were all the same it would be boring just like if vegetables were all alike, imagine if we had to eat asparagus for the rest of our lives, ew! So in a way humans and vegetables are completely the same, we are all different colors, shapes and sizes.

LIFE LESSON: Eat your veggies!!!!!
